A Public Hearing will be held by Council on June 24, 2025, at 6:00pm in the Council Chambers at 76 Morison Drive, Windsor, during the regularly scheduled Council meeting.

This Public Hearing will be to explain and receive public input on a proposed Peace and Good Order By-Law for the region.

Public Hearing Notification

Public Hearings will be held by Council on June 24, 2025, at 6:00pm in the Council Chambers at 76 Morison Drive, Windsor, during the regularly scheduled Council meeting.

These Hearings will be to explain and receive public input on the following applications:
• A development agreement application for 60 Old Walton Rd, Upper Burlington (PID 45168069) to permit an automotive repair shop; and
• a development agreement amendment application for PID 45056363 Upper Water St, Windsor, to allow for updated unit designs, updated exterior finish, adding two additional units to the second floor and amending parking as required.

This Coastal Hazard Map is a tool you can use to make informed decisions and support action.

The map shows what storm surge during a high tide could look like today and in the years 2050 and 2100 with sea level rise.

Text and Map Amendments to the Windsor, West Hants, and Hantsport Municipal Planning Strategies and Land Use By-laws were approved by WHRM Council on March 25, 2025, and the Department of Municipal Affairs on April 23, 2025, to allow greater density as-of-right within the serviced areas, create affordable housing policies, and reduce minimum parking requirements to align with the first three initiatives of the Housing Action Plan.

These amendments will take effect as of the date of this posting (May 13, 2025). Reports are available at https://www.westhants.ca/staff-reports.html.
