West Hants Regional Municipality – District 9 (Falmouth) Councillor Resignation
West Hants, NOVA SCOTIA – The West Hants Regional Municipality is issuing notice to the public that District 9 (Falmouth Area) Councillor Richard Murphy has submitted his resignation for personal reasons, effective May 13, 2021.
The resignation was received in compliance with the Municipal Government and Municipal Elections Act. Council and Administration will formally receive the resignation at the next scheduled Council meeting on May 25, 2021. Direction and discussion regarding the District 9 vacancy and pending election process to fill the vacancy will be discussed on May 25th.
The Council and staff for the municipality wish to thank Mr Murphy for his service to his community.
