COVID-19 Impacts on Summer Program and Hants Aquatic Centre
Our Community Development team is working hard to safely adapt our traditional recreation opportunities during these unprecedented times. Unfortunately, due to safety concerns and provincial restrictions, we are unable to offer summer programs and the Hants Aquatic Centre and the Visitor Information facilities will remain closed.
Remember: We have incredible outdoor spaces to enjoy being active and playful in…
- Irishmans Road Recreation Site, Newport Station
- The Causeway Trail, Windsor
- Haliburton House Museum trails and grounds, Windsor
- The Foundry Field, Hantsport
- The Eldridge Road Recreation Site, Falmouth
- The Cheverie Salt Marsh, Cheverie
- and so many more…
Check out our website for a full list: https://www.westhants.ca/recreation-sites.html
We want to assure you that as our new normal emerges, we will be looking for new and creative ways to continue adapting our municipal service to meet the needs of our residents. We will be working closely with our partners and businesses to create opportunities such as staycations and safe travels throughout our region and to plan for a strong future.
Please remember that it is more important than ever to follow social distancing guidelines. Please remember that all activities must follow provincial and municipal state of emergency guidelines: https://novascotia.ca/coronavirus/
We miss you and cannot wait to see you again!
