Service Alert - Wednesday, Area 1 Recycling
Due to illness, GFL is unable to complete today's collection for a portion of Highway 14.
Please place your recycling curbside on Thursday, January 8th, starting at 7am - GFL will complete the route first thing in the morning.
If your recycling is not picked up on January 8th, please contact GFL Dispatch at 902-468-9111 or WHRM at 902-798-8391 ext 146 for furthwer assistance.

Plan Review: Draft Documents Now Available!

The Plan Review project is nearing completion, and the draft Municipal Planning Strategy and draft Land Use By-law are now available on our website at https://www.westhants.ca/plan-review.html. Comments or questions can be submitted to the Planning and Development Department (contact information available via the link) up until February 4th, 2026. Future opportunities for public input will include a Public Hearing that will be scheduled at a later date.
