Plan a Community Litter Clean-up!
Hosting a litter clean-up is a great way to get involved in your community.
Now, learn HOW!
1. We encourage volunteers to register their clean-up events through Nova Scotia Pick-Me-Up 2-3 weeks in advance, if possible. This is a great way to track province-wide data, and help volunteers stay connected with events going on around them. They even hold contests and offer prizes to participants!
2. Next, if your cleanup is being held along any municipally-owned OR provincially-owned roadway, you will need to complete a permit application (found below). If you are NOT completing a cleanup along a public roadway (such as a beach, park, or private road), skip to step 3!
-
- For events being held along municipally-owned roadways (see list of streets here):
- Fill out a
WHRM Clean-up Permit.pdf
, then forward your completed permit application to Jenny LaPierre, Waste Services Coordinator.
- Questions? Phone the Coordinator at (902)798-8391 ext. 128 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
