Barrier Free Small Business Accessibility
The West Hants Regional Municipality wishes to support small businesses in making physical improvements that enhance accessibility for people with disabilities. The program aims to reduce barriers to access, promotes inclusion, and ensures that all community members can fully benefit from and support local small businesses.

Members of the Emergency Management Office (EMO) take courses, update training, participate in and/or host emergency exercises, and frequently collaborate & network with colleagues. All of this ensures there is experience, education, awareness, and preparedness.
Typically this is done behind the scenes; however, residents have recently started to ask about it. And of course, all of this was done long before now, but moving forward, we can keep you in-the-know!

$125 for Tots-Swimmer 2
$135 for Swimmer 3 - Swimmer 6
$145 for Rookie/Ranger/Star.

Description: West Hants is hosting a public swim at Kings Edgehill School. Lifeguards are on duty; however safety is a shared responsiblity: responsible adults must always be present. Children 8yrs and under require a responsible adult to be in the pool and within arms reach. Swims are limited to 60 people, including those on deck.

Aquafit - Jump into Aquatfitness!

Description: These classes are fun, easy on the joints, and can be modified easily for your need. There are two class times to choose from when registering. These classes are registration-based programs, drop-ins cannot be accomodated, and you cannot mix and match class times.
Tuesdays and Thursdays, January 6-March 12, 2026
$115 for West Hants Residents and Non-West Hants Residents
Participants can register for one of the three time slots:
- 9:00 AM – 9:45 AM
- 10:15 AM – 11:00 AM
- 7:30 PM – 8:15 PM
- Please note that classes are 45min in length, this includes a cool down.
