We recognize the valued contributions provided through the volunteer efforts of community organizations and agencies on behalf of its citizens and Council is committed to assisting organizations which provide beneficial programs, services or projects to our communities.

EMO's Training & Exercise Log
Members of the Emergency Management Office (EMO) take courses, update training, participate in and/or host emergency exercises, and frequently collaborate & network with colleagues. All of this ensures there is experience, education, awareness, and preparedness.
Typically this is done behind the scenes; however, residents have recently started to ask about it. And of course, all of this was done long before now, but moving forward, we can keep you in-the-know!

We are offering a registration based Aquafit program at King’s-Edgehill school. Unfortunately, we are unable to take drop-in’s for this program.

EMO Education Sessions - Schedule
West Hants Regional Municipality's Emergency Management Office (EMO) will host a minimum of three in-person education and awareness events a year (January - May - September).
These events are meant to be interactive (to some degree) and to help you:
- learn of potential risks & hazards in your area (and surrounding areas)
- how to prepare for an emergency
- what to do in an emergency, and
- recovery tips.
