Ontree Park offers excitement and physical challenges for people of all ages and ability. They have 12 high courses, 2 training courses and 2 kid’s courses.
The courses are situated in heights between 1 and 20 meters (3 to 65 feet) from the ground. Acoustic Maritime Music Festival, held the third full weekend of July with the crowd being presented a variety of world class music to fans. Everything from blues, folk, country and jazz to Texas swing, all done through microphones as much as possible and not electronically augmented, allowing the artists to show their special talents.
Castle Fredrick Farms Inc.
Castle Frederick is farmed today by the Bremner family, eighth generation from Colonel Joseph Frederick Wallet DesBarres, who was granted the land in 1763. Castle Frederick Farms Inc. consists of a herd of approximately 300 head of cattle, a flock of 100 sheep, 200 acres of pasture and 200 acres of productive marshlands for hay and forage to feed the livestock through the winter. There are 1500 acres of forest land producing several forest products today. These lands are serviced by roads and trails frequented by wildlife and utilized by many for hunting and other recreational activities. The farm offers cabin rental, hiking trails, tractor/wagon rides, and horse drawn sleigh/wagon rides.

Avon River Heritage Society Museum & Avondale Gallery
Set along the scenic shores of the Avon River on the site where New England Planters' sloop The Lydia and Sally landed in 1760, our museum features exhibits on the New England Planters, Acadian settlers, local house histories, family histories, and Avon River ecology. It is also home to the Hants County Arts Council and their Artist Landing Gallery, the Lydia and Sally Café, and the Planter's Sea Chest Gift Shop, which features products handcrafted by local Nova Scotian artists and artisans.

Avon Valley Golf & Country Club
Avon Valley Golf and Country Club was established in 1971 following the closing of the former Windsor nine hole course near Fort Edward. It has since grown to a challenging and very well groomed 18 hole course. Hilly terrain, fast and subtle greens and the occasional variable breezes always call for strategy to score well. Avon Valley is noted for peak conditions, friendly staff and friendly members who make visitors feel welcome. Operate from about mid- April until late October or early November, depending on weather conditions. The course is located 30-35 minutes from Metro, includes: 18 Holes, par 71/ 73, Licensed dining area, spacious deck, wi-fi, a fully stocked Pro Shop, rentals available (power cars, clubs, pull carts), and a pitch-n-putt practice area, putting green and practice mats/ net. Visitors are always welcome.
Every year, the Windsor-West Hants Pumpkin Festival celebrates all things pumpkin, including recipes, pumpkin weigh-offs, pumpkin painting and carving. But the most fun is had by transforming the giant gourds into somewhat sea-worthy boats. The Pumpkin Regatta draws huge crowds every year in October who cheer on participants as they sit inside their colourful, giant pumpkins and paddle across the lake between Windsor and Falmouth.
